About Us

Up until 2006 Banks Peninsula had their own competition, with a number of clubs fielding Senior teams in their own right. Former clubs include the Allandale CC based at Governers Bay, Le Bons Bay CC, Akaroa CC, Diamond Harbour CC, Wainui CC, Awa-iti CC based at Little River, Little River CC, United CC based at Duvauchelles and the Kaituna CC based at Ataahua. As a result of a declining population base and longer working weeks, a number of these clubs were no longer able to field teams every week.

 

Peninsula/Harbour CC is an amalgamation of all the previous clubs, incorporating both Seniors and Juniors to keep cricket strong in this proud region and also utilising some of the great grounds we have available.

 

We can lay claim to having a strong history of producing First Class and International cricketers including current Black Cap Henry Nicholls. We would love to see many more future stars or anyone who just loves the game and wants to be part of a newly formed ambitious club.
